Renowned Heat Transfer specialist Teralba Industries, have recently upgraded their range of Dimpleflo Tubular Heat Exchangers for enhanced turbulence within the product tubes. The unique Dimple profile has been improved to further increase turbulence which results in far higher efficiency and heat transfer co-efficients, especially when heating or cooling viscous or fouling product.
The Dimplelfo Tube-in-Tube design has proven to be virtually un-blockable , even when processing products such as jams, purees, toffee and pet foods. A further advantage of the Dimple profile is that the radically increased turbulence within the tube wall, actually self-cleans the Heat Exchanger. This minimizes maintenance costs and the downtime when the system is off line for cleaning. Some sewerage treatment plants have extended their heat exchanger uptime to 2 years before cleaning is implemented.
The 6 o’clock position in the base of each heat exchanger has a clear draining passage which means the Dimpleflo aids the draining of product and heating/cooling media.
Dimpleflo Heat Exchangers are manufactured in Australia from 304 or 316 stainless steel and can be engineered to withstand pressures of up to 25 Bar (362psi), in the product flow path. Where products have high chloride content or other corrosive ingredients, Dimpleflo Heat Exchangers can be constructed from high corrosion resistant materials such as duplex stainless steels and titanium.
With sizes ranging from 25mm (1”) through to 200mm (8”) configurations, Dimplelfo Heat Exchangers can be sized to suit virtually any heat transfer application – From 200 kg/hr to 200,000 kg/hr.
