New York Bakery appeared at Anuga 2017 with a fresh new look

Part of Grupo Bimbo, the world’s largest bakery group, New York Bakery Co. will be showcasing its new ‘Fresher For Longer’ recipe, allowing its branded customers to benefit from an extended product shelf life of up to 30 days from manufacture.

Available from early 2018, the new extended life recipe will be available across existing favourites including The Original, Sesame, Wholemeal, Cinnamon & Raisin and Red Onion & Chive varieties.

In addition to the new recipe, the bakery experts will be introducing a brand new Seeded bagel, exclusively in the ‘Fresher For Longer’ range. Following market trends for
healthier breads, the Seeded bagel is rich in fibre thanks to sunflower and poppy seeds along with sesame, millet and linseed.

Bagels are seeing growth in Europe, both across Retail and Foodservice sectors. This has been driven by Independent bagel shops and larger chains opening up across these markets with consumers also looking to re-create this experience at home.

In the UK – where it is the number one bagel producer, with 81% market share (IRI data to 19.08.17) – New York Bakery Co. revealed its biggest campaign to date last month, including a return to TV complete with new creative, an eye catching brand redesign, innovative NPD and a new, improved bagel recipe.

As well as their core branded range, New York Bakery Co. supplies a wide variety of private label bagels in both ambient and frozen categories for retailers and in-store bakeries. The bagel specialist currently supplies into the following markets: UK, Republic of Ireland, France, Germany and Switzerland.
